How sign-in works, and what we keep.
The permission that can change things stays on your iPhone. Our server can look, never touch.

You sign in on DigitalOcean's own page.
The iPhone's secure sign-in sheet opens DigitalOcean's page. No token to paste, and Duskwatch never sees your password.
Full access stays in this iPhone's Keychain.
Saved for this device only and used only from the phone. It is never sent to our server, and widgets never read it.
Our server holds nothing unless you turn on alerts.
Without alerts, the app talks only to DigitalOcean. No analytics or tracking SDKs.
Alert server, when you turn on alerts
Alerts get a separate, read-only permission.
You approve it on DigitalOcean's page and can revoke it there. The alert server checks the granted scopes on every exchange and refresh, and rejects and revokes anything that can write.
What our server keeps
Without alerts: nothing.
With alerts on:
- The read-only permission, encrypted
- Your team's name and ID, and your device's push address
- Your alert rules and the last status of what you watch
- 30 days of alert history
Kept in the EU and deleted within 24 hours of turning alerts off.
What we never keep
- Your DigitalOcean password
- Your full-access permission
- Database passwords or connection strings
- Your logs or metric history

No. Your full-access permission stays in this iPhone's Keychain and is never sent to us. Alerts use a separate, read-only permission, and only if you turn them on.
Basic monitoring is free and read-only. Duskwatch Pro adds alerts, most actions and advanced features.

We only ask for your email, and we send one email at launch. Anything else, such as a TestFlight invite or build notes, is optional and chosen in the next step.
Your address is stored by our email provider, EmailOctopus, in Ireland (EU). Every email has a one-click unsubscribe.
